Jill first went to the rink with neighborhood friends who were already skating. She started lessons at age 11 in dance and figures, and later, freestyle. Her hobbies include hiking, swimming at the beach, tennis, and antiques. She plays piano and violin. She makes skating teddy bears for friends and other skaters. Jill is an engineer with an advanced degree, working full time in the energy area. What she likes most about skating is jumping high, spinning fast, and feeling free.
