Maryann began skating at the age of seven, and competed for the first time when she was nine. Her recent accomplishments include a Bronze Medal in the 2000 Upper Great Lakes Championships in Novice Ladies and 11th in the Novice division of the Midwestern Championships.

Maryann is the daughter of Angelito and Marie Bernardo and she is an honor roll student at Niles North High School in Skokie, Illinois.   Her hobbies are reading and dancing and she likes to spend time with her family and friends and she enjoys surfing on America OnLine.  She hopes to become a sports medicine doctor.
