Kate has been skating since age 4-1/2 when she and a friend decided to try it!   Her real name is Katherine but she never uses it.  She is a good student at Kenwood Academy and she loves to read, hike, ski and camp.  She's an "outdoorsy" person, not a party person, and she likes to dabble in photography, sketching and singing.  What she loves most about skating is the feeling of flying and of having control of her edges. Kate passed her Gold Freeskate test in the Spring of 2002.
